Today's
Contractor Working for Tomorrow
North Rock Group was founded in
1992 by the DiPede family, primarily as an
infrastructure general contractor, providing complete
servicing construction for both public and private projects.
North Rock grew out of the C.M. DiPede Group, which had
become one of Ontario's most trusted
names in the field of sewer, watermain and road
building, a reputation built on quality workmanship, integrity
and value. Today North Rock combines its traditional values of hard work, trust
and dedication with the latest technology and innovative
construction techniques that foster quality, safety and timeliness.
North Rock
has a long and solid history as a
construction industry leader and today is at the forefront of the
industry due to the collective experience
of their people. The management team spans six decades and many
facets of construction and North
Rock invests in the most
experienced and professional staff at every level, now
employing a staff of 40, all of whom know the business and
what clients expect.
North
Rock also takes an active role in the construction
industry and is a member of the Ontario Watermain
Construction Association which represents approximately
700 contractors across the province. Tony Dipede was
president in 2000 and still represents the association
on the Board of the Council of the Ontario Construction
Association (COCA) and the Canadian Construction
Association's Trip and Road Builders Board. George
DiPede is past chair of the association's Young
executives Committee and is still a member of the YEC.
Looking
ahead North Rock plans to maintain its leadership
position by proactively managing change, by continuing
to take an
active role in the industry, by adopting leading edge
techniques, and through a deeper level of teamwork with
its project partners including developers, governments
and communities.
